The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Africa Region Executive is meeting this week

Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Africa Region Executive meets to plan for main conference in Mpumalanga

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Africa Region Executive is meeting this week, ahead of the main conference to be held in July in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

The 60 member executive, meeting in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, from 10 to 15 March, comprises branch representatives from 18 African countries:

* Botswana
* Cameroon
* The Gambia
* Ghana
* Kenya
* Lesotho
* Malawi
* Mauritius
* Mozambique
* Namibia
* Nigeria
* Seychelles
* Sierra Leone
* South Africa
* Swaziland
* Tanzania
* Uganda
* Zambia

Parliament’s National Council of Provinces Chairperson Mr Mninwa J Mahlangu is attending the meeting as Chairperson of the Executive Committee. Mr Mahlangu was elected to this position in 2009.
