President Zuma to officially open King Shaka International Airport

Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal
Provincial Government and relevant transport agencies will host Republic of South Africa President, His Excellency President Jacob Zuma, on the occasion of the official opening of the King Shaka International Airport and Dube Trade Port at La Mercy in KwaZulu-Natal.

Details event are as follows:

Date: Saturday, 8 May 2010
Venue: King Shaka International Airport
Time: 10h30 (Media to be at the airport by no later than 09h30 on 8 May for collection of accreditation tags. Follow the signage to the open parking and marquee).

The programme for the event will include the opening of the new airport interchange, the Dube Trade Port terminal launch and opening, the air traffic navigation service traffic control tower, memorial gardens opening, King Shaka statue unveiling, the passenger terminal launch and opening as well as a media conference after the event.

All media are requested to confirm attendance by no later than 16h00 tomorrow, Thursday, 6 April 2010, providing their details including identity numbers, with Dennis Ngxongo at dennis@dnaprojects.net or 031 201 1996. Journalists are requested to bring along their identity documents for accreditation and security verification purposes.
