South African Army combat rifle shooting evaluation

The South African Army combat rifle shooting evaluation will take place at the General De Wet shooting range at De Brug training area near Bloemfontein over the period 28 February to 5 March 2011. Regular and reserve force units will be participating during the evaluation.
The following teams will take part in the evaluation:
  • 46 South African Army units will participate (354 members)
  • 37 South African Army Reserve units will participate (376 members)
  • 5 International teams from Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania and Kenya.
The teams of the Regular units will arrive on Monday 28 February 2011 and starts with the evaluation on Tuesday, 1 March 2011 follow by the price giving on Wednesday 2011 at 16:00.
The teams of the reserve units will arrive on Wednesday, 2 March 2011 and starts with the evaluation on Thursday, 3 March 2011 follow by price giving on Friday, 4 March 2011 at 16:00.
The top ten participants of the regular and reserve units will participate in a competition against five international teams. The price giving for this event will take place on Saturday, 5 March 2011 at 12:00 at the shooting range.
