Title: No room for slackers, warns Ndebele
--------------------
Pretoria - Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele today warned that rude, inefficient officials who slowed down services at testing stations would not be tolerated.
"We don't want people to come out of the testing centre with their day spoiled by rude officials. People must be treated with respect and officials must be taken for training. This will improve service delivery," he said. He called on members of society not to bribe officials.
Ndebele was speaking during a surprise visit at the Waltloo Testing Centre, east of Pretoria. The visit was part of series of unannounced visits at testing centres around the country to ensure efficient service delivery.
During his visit, Ndebele interacted with people in the queues, asking them if they were happy with the service. He said he was also impressed with the level of service at the centre.
One of the people in the queue was Thomas Sibanyoni from Mamelodi, who was at the centre to collect his driver's license. He told BuaNews he was satisfied with the manner in which the queue was moving. He had been there for less than 20 minutes and was already near the front of the queue.
"I'm happy with the service that I'm getting here," he said.
Head of the Driving Licence Section at the centre, Vuyisile Sibeko, said they were waiting for new machines to enable them to work more efficiently.
"Currently, the systems that we are using are old. It takes long to process applications as we also rely on the police to send us the records of the applicants," Sibeko said. - BuaNews

It is articles like this that gives hope to a weary tiered body. Struggling to make ends meet fighting bureaucracy and sitting up nights to work out ways to feed the family. While Mr Sand man fails in his service rendering the the struggle continues trough the ghostly hours of the night. Then just before one wants to surrender to hopelessness one finds one self in front of such a piece of good news.
