The keynote address by Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will now be at 12h20. This is as the provincial government in conjunction with the City of Tshwane celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the Women's Day at the Union Buildings on Tuesday, 9 August 2011.
Premier Nomvula Mokonyane will take a lead in remembering over 20 000 women who, in 1956, took it upon themselves to challenge the apartheid system and marched to the Union Buildings.
As part of the celebrations, artist including the new Afro-pop sensation Zahara, Abigail Kubheka and PJ Powers will entertain the attending crowds.
