Exciting news from Humansdorp Club…. rider update! The Humansdorp Club has been successful in securing the MSA EP Regional Enduro Championship for 2012. This championship will be run in conjunction with club events and dates, their first being on 31 March 2012. What does this mean for riders? In order to enter a regional class, one must hold a valid MSA license for 2012. For regional open, masters and senior classes (which may be combined due to numbers) and under 21 class (junior open), you require a MSA regional license. For silver class, you require a club license. For any regional class to constitute a Regional Championship, there needs to be an average of six riders on the start line. If you require more information regarding licenses and classes, please contact: Joan Shinn 041-5811772 (after hours), Terri Young 0839858270 or Stephen on 0829014601. Regional championship winners are recognized on a yearly basis by MSA where trophies are awarded at a prize giving. When one takes out an MSA license, there is a fee for group accident cover, inclusive of medical expenses, which has to be taken with your license. This is regardless of whether your own medical aid covers you. With the assistance of the Off-Road Motorcycle, Quad, Enduro and Trials Commission, this amount can be paid off throughout the year. One-day license will be issued to ride these events, but, proof of medical aid has to be shown. This is a very exciting challenge for the club and they hope that during 2012, they will be well supported with their racing and other initiatives to promote riding in the Eastern Cape. One of the initiatives is a Fun Day on Sunday 19 February (see attached), at 09:00 at Spitzbak. All information regarding licenses and classes will be available on the day. Please bring the family along to support this event and join them for the day. - Directions to Spitzbak: From N2/Humansdorp Bridge: turn towards Hankey (Right from PE / Left from CT), after +14km turn Right, continue on gravel road until you see the Spitzbak sign & turn Right, continue on gravel road until you get a white brick entrance)
