Train service disruption

12 May 2010

All commuters and the public at large are kindly advised that Metrorail management has taken a decision to suspend all its services in the East London from 12 May 2010.

Today, the afternoon service will be available in Port Elizabeth and all services will then be suspended on 13 May 2010. This status quo will remain until further notice. This is due to the strike action by labour unions.

Our customers are therefore requested to make alternative means of transport to and from work. The management of Metrorail apologises for any inconvenience this will cause both to our customers and their employers.
