Three people were killed in a horrible head-on collision involving a bakkie and a truck on the N14 Vryburg to Kuruman road in the North West province on Friday morning.
It is alleged that an Isuzu bakkie with three occupants was driving towards Kuruman when a Man truck that was overtaking another truck collided head on with it at around 06h30.
The ages of the occupants and their identities could not be immediately determined as all three were minced beyond recognition in the most horrific accident ever experienced in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati district.
Police and other emergency personnel struggled to pick up the body parts at the scene.
North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa wishes to convey his condolences to the families of the people who were killed in the accident.
MEC Yawa appeals to truckers to be extra cautious on the road as road accidents involving trucks have claimed six lives in the province within the past 24 hours.
