MEC Mohono to unveil February Safety Month programme to sustain onslaught against lawlessness

North West MEC for Human Settlements, Public Safety & Liaison, Ms Desbo Mohono is to close the Arrive Alive / Duty Calls Festive Season campaign and launch the Provincial Safety Month programme in an effort to sustain the zero tolerance operations against lawlessness.

February is safety month according to government’s programme of action therefore MEC Mohono reflects on the provincial arrive alive achievements for the festive season outline the programmes and operations that the department will embark on throughout the February month.

According to preliminary Arrive Alive Festive Season report published by the National Minister of Transport; the North West Province was the second lowest on fatal crashes and fatalities. 

The Safety month is to be observed as a period aimed at intensifying the fight against crime through campaigns and projects that are aimed at mobilising communities to be involved in the war against crime.
